My Fashion Predictions for 2010-2011 School Year(;

So, my senior year is coming up in.. four days(?!) and I can't wait for it to start..
and I can't wait for the fashions(:
I just lovvve looking nice.. and I'm sure you all do, too.
Sooooo.. I decided to make my little psychic brain work and "predict" what's going to be hot this year
(plus I have been keeping an eye on the trends. :D )

So.. Here goes! :D

Trend: Jeggings

Part jeans, part leggings.. these have been around for awhile, and they're starting to take hold all over the fashion world. I have heard talk about these from all sides. They're cute, they're comfortable, they're affordable and they work well with any style, and any look. They come in a range of prices and nearly every clothing store. I have a pair myself, and I just love them!

Trend: Denim Jackets

Yep. They're back. And they have been for awhile. I'm not really a big fan of the classic blue jean kind.. but I do have a white one that I just can't bring myself to hate. Colored ones, I think, are going to be more popular. Warning though: Denim-with-denim is a biiig fashion mistake. If you're going to wear one of these.. try pairing with a nice sundress or a cute hippie-style skirt instead.

Trend: Clothes that Sparkle!

C'mon now... what girl doesn't love to shine a little bit? Sparkles are a very big deal this year, and it's pretty obvious why. You can make your look pop with a sparkly tank thrown in the mix. They're very fun and make everybody feel like a rockstar(:

Trend: Leopard Print?!

Like it or not.. it's cool to show your spots. This is definitely a look you want to be careful around though... you do NOT want to come out looking like.. well, you know. But if you're looking for a unique and wild look.. I definitely suggest giving this look a try.

Trend: Watches

Here's a genius way to tell time WITHOUT having to look at your cell phone every few minutes. And, it's gorgeous. Wearing a watch as a bracelet is a super great idea, and a super cute one. To give it the accessory look, wearing it just a little bit loose is a simple way to get it going.

Trend: Clog Heels

Let me be honest, I am disappointed that these are back. I am not a big fan of these shoes at all. But the fashion world disagrees with me. They're supposed to be hot this fall. Of course, you won't see me wearing any. Pair these with bootcut slacks, or for a more casual look, some flared or wide-legged jeans to give your legs some length.

Trend: Natural Browns

In the makeup world, browns and natural colors are getting their time in the spotlight. Which is great, because I just read an article by someone who interviewed men who are currently in relationships, and the survey said that men like their women to look natural, in little to no makeup. If you're one of those girls who can't leave the house without plastering it on, going with the browns (and light greens) is a great way to make yourself appear more natural. Remember, makeup isn't supposed to be seen!

Trend: Greens and Grays

Two beautiful colors, if you ask me. Together or apart, I can definitely say these are two colors to look out for. Any bold shade, from grass green to forest, it's a color that looks good on nearly everyone (excluding the ever-so-popular lime! Sorry, ladies). Grey is a color that fits every style, from girly to goth. If you're looking for some great colors that will span across every season, I'd definitely say these are the colors to get your hands on.

Trend: Lace Tights

Now you're all thinking, "ah jeez. She's TRYING to make me look like a slut!" But hear me out (or, uh, read me out). When paired with the right clothes, lace tights are going to be your best friend. Worn with a pair of cuffed shorts and lots of layers or a girly sundress, you'll be able to wear some of those clothes that normally wouldn't be appropriate to wear to school. The key part to wearing tights like these is, don't plan the outfit around the tights. Be creative and think smart. Just.. stay away from fishnets, alright? Floral patterns only!

Trend: Ankle Boots.. Still In!

Heeled or flat-footed boots that barely cover the ankle are great for any season. Whether you're girly, punky, casual, or any other sort of fashionista,  find yourself a perfect pair! These are great for making the transition from summer to fall, and even into winter. A good pair of ankle boots can be worn with anything, so look out!

There you have it! I tried to go with looks that will work on almost any skin tone and body type, so that everyone gets to see how fun fashion is. Keep your eyes peeled for these things, and always remember to go for the best deals. Happy hunting!
